This is where reimagining worship gets really exciting. As a church implements some of the changes we discuss in coaching or consulting, leaders want their teams and congregation to gain a deeper understanding of how the implemented changes can deepen their corporate worship experience.
A Reimagine Worship retreat will cover:
- What is the definition and purpose of worship?
- How has God interacted with human beings in the Bible?
- How can the corporate worship service likewise facilitate an encounter with the Living God?
- How has worship at our church supported this encounter, and how can I experience this encounter?
- Individual experience versus the community’s experience of worship.
- How does the divine-human encounter in worship affect our mission?
There are several options for retreats.
- Friday/Saturday Retreat: Bill would arrive Friday afternoon, and lead a retreat from 7:00-9:00 Friday and 9:00-3:30 Saturday.
- Saturday retreat: Bill would arrive Friday evening and lead a retreat from 9:00-3:30 Saturday.
- Retreat/Consulting package: Combine any retreat with up to four hours of consulting or coaching.
- Retreat/Sunday preaching: In addition to a retreat, Bill would preach on Sunday morning on a topic related to worship.
- Sunday preaching/Afternoon retreat: Bill would preach Sunday morning and then lead a four-hour retreat for your worship teams Sunday afternoon.
- A virtual retreat is always possible.
Bill has led many worship retreats on many topics. The goal is always to help teams understand their role as worship leaders (this includes musicians, singers, artists, technical teams, production teams, etc.) A retreat offers a unique opportunity to build stronger relationships among teams. While the topic is important, the relationship building is what will last. Retreats can be customized around topics such as:
- The Psalms and other prayer forms in worship.
- Creativity in worship, such as songwriting, poetry, art.
- Other topics you would like your teams to experience.
- Costs for customized retreats may be slightly higher due to the extra planning required.
